Abstract

This study aims to test, analyze and prove the effect of competence, work environment, and use of information technology on the performance of employees of the Selayar Islands District Regional Disaster Management Agency. This research is categorized as survey research. Data collection techniques through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The population in this study amounted to 97 employees consisting of 19 civil servants and 78 non-PNS people. The sampling technique uses a saturated sampling method (census) where the entire population in this study is the sample. The results of the study show that (1) Competence partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (2) The work environment partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (3) The use of information technology partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (4) Competence, work environment, and utilization of information technology simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of the Selayar Islands Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency.
