Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of (1) commitment, organizational culture, discipline, and leadership on employee performance (2) commitment, organizational culture, and discipline on leadership and (3) commitment, organizational culture, and discipline through leadership as influential intervening variables on employee performance. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires related to commitment, organizational culture, discipline, leadership as intervening variables and employee performance to 125 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study is the partial least squares using the smart pls application. The results showed that (1) commitment has no effect on employee performance (2) organizational culture has an effect on employee performance (3) discipline has no effect on employee performance (4) leadership has an effect on employee performance (5) commitment has an effect on leadership (6) culture organization influences employee leadership (7) discipline does not affect leadership (8) commitment through leadership as an intervening variable influences employee performance (9) organizational culture through leadership as an intervening variable influences employee performance (10) discipline through leadership as an intervening variable does not influence on the performance of the South Sulawesi Provincial Civil Service Agency.
