Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the effect of communication competence and professionalism partially and simultaneously toward the service quality of personnel at the Transportation Office of Selayar Islands Regency (2) to analyze which variables have a dominant effect toward the service quality of personnel at the Transportation Office of Selayar Islands Regency.

The study method used was a descriptive quantitative study with a sample of 85 respondents. Sampling using saturated sampling/census, which means that the entire population was used as a sample. The data analysis method used was data quality test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t-test, F test, and the coefficient of determination.

The results show that (1) communication competence partially has a positive and significant effect toward the service quality of the apparatus (2) professionalism partially has a positive and significant effect toward the service quality of the apparatus (3) competence, communication, and professionalism simultaneously have a positive and significant effect toward quality apparatus service (4) communication competence has a dominant effect toward the service quality of the apparatus.
