Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of job rotation and democratic leadership style on performance through job satisfaction of employees of Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas 1 Makassar. This research approach uses survey research that takes samples from one population and uses a questionnaire as the main data collection tool. The research population was all employees of Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas 1 Makassar Unit Security Team and the sample used a saturated sample so that the sample in this study consisted of 80 people.

The results showed that: 1) Job Rotation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 2) Democratic Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, 3) Job Rotation has a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction, 4) Democratic Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction. significant to Employee Satisfaction, 5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, 6) Job satisfaction mediates the effect of Job Rotation on employee performance and 7) Job satisfaction mediates the effect of Democratic Leadership Style on employee performance.
