KAJIAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM KURIKULUM PERGURUAN TINGGI: TREN DAN TANTANGAN

Studi ini menyelidiki peran penting pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan tinggi, dengan fokus pada tren yang muncul, tantangan implementasi, dan strategi integrasi yang efektif. Studi ini berupaya untuk menjawab permintaan yang meningkat akan lulusan yang berlandaskan moral yang mampu menavigasi kompleksitas etika dalam lanskap global dan teknologi yang berkembang pesat. Penelitian ini menekankan pada pembinaan nilai-nilai moral seperti integritas, empati, dan tanggung jawab sosial dalam kurikulum pendidikan tinggi. Studi ini mengadopsi metodologi tinjauan pustaka sistematis kualitatif, yang mensintesis wawasan dari teori-teori yang mapan, termasuk Teori Pembelajaran Transformatif, Etika Kebajikan, dan Teori Pendidikan Holistik. Studi ini meneliti artikel dan studi kasus yang ditinjau sejawat untuk menganalisis praktik dan tantangan yang berhasil dalam pendidikan karakter. Eksplorasi teoritis dan empiris ini mengidentifikasi strategi yang dapat ditindaklanjuti untuk mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter secara efektif ke dalam program akademik. Temuan tersebut menyoroti bahwa pendidikan karakter paling efektif ketika menggabungkan perangkat teknologi dengan bimbingan dan pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman. Tren seperti Pendidikan 5.0 dan pengajaran berbasis isu menggarisbawahi pentingnya pembelajaran dan kolaborasi yang dipersonalisasi. Namun, tantangan tetap ada, termasuk kebutuhan akan kerangka kerja yang lebih terstruktur, beban akademis yang berlebihan, dan kapasitas pendidik yang terbatas. Strategi berbasis kurikulum, praktik reflektif, dan bimbingan diusulkan sebagai solusi praktis untuk pengembangan karakter. Studi ini berkontribusi pada kemajuan teoritis dan praktis dalam pendidikan karakter dengan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk desain kurikulum, pelatihan pendidik, dan alat evaluasi. Studi ini menggarisbawahi perlunya menanamkan nilai-nilai moral ke dalam kurikulum akademis inti untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berlandaskan etika dan berkemampuan intelektual. Penelitian di masa mendatang harus mengkaji dampak jangka panjang dari strategi ini dan memvalidasi efektivitasnya di berbagai konteks budaya dan kelembagaan.
